Back to you my guise

Please accept my apologies for abandoning this blog. Already a month... Time sure flies fast.
It wont be a long post. Again, sorry.
Now. A lot of things changed during this time. The best thing is that I'll be able to write what I wanted. On February I'm going again to Italy. This time mountains, skiing... I've seen Italy during winter only once and long time ago. All the time it was summer, hot weather, sea... And as promised, soon I'll write about my experience there.
I started to write another blog in my native language. Also, it's a good thing to promote Pororo blog over there. But as you already know, I'm good at abandoning things soon. Sorry, but this is who I really am. Maybe I'll change it, or maybe not.
So, what is more, another song review is waiting and this time it wont be k-pop. But don't be sad kpoppers, there is also one post dedicated for you. But you'll have to wait. Not for a month this time. As soon as I'll get back home, I'll post everything what I promised.
Aish, I'm so excited. I know you will like it :)

Thank you and have a good day.

[Music time] AOA - Elvis

Hello music lovers.
Today I'm back to show how much I love music and how much I love to review it.
It was really hard to decide whose song and music video to review. Few weeks i was choosing from Tiziano Ferro, FT Island and Jason Mraz. And today...oh how surprised I was...on my way to school, like always, I was listening to the music. And suddenly: dam dam darararam damdam dararara damdam darararara... AOA's "Elvis" took today's my most listened song first place. So I forgot that  I was choosing from Ferro, FTI and Mraz. My head was already full of comments for this song and while watching mv with my Sherlock eyes I opened my blog and started this post. So yes k-pop lovers, today this post is for you.
First, let's talk about new FNC ent project. Two months ago AOA debuted with seven female artists as "angels" and plus one as "half angel". After solo artist Juniel, Ace Of Angels is first female group from FNC Entertainment (you know CN Blue and FT Island). And I want to congratulate this ent, since AOA is first 2in1 group in this k-pop world. Seven members are like usual girl groups, since they dance and sing, while other four members with "half angel" also plays instruments (let me call them AOA band that plays guitars, drums and keyboard). I really respect this idea. And yes, I prefer more AOA band than dancing AOA. It's really unusual in k-pop world to see cute girls with music instruments.

Now let's start my review. I chose their first debut single "Elvis. If you haven't watched it yet, do it before reading.
"Elvis" full version(first) and "Elvis" band version(second):

Lyrics and music: I have nothing bad to say about this. Music tone is really catchy, lyrics are about hot, sweet, beloved guy. After listening to it for few times you just can't hold yourself from humming it. Or singing. Of course if your Korean isn't crappy as mine. Lyrics are simple, nothing special...oh sorry, let me explain this. You know, I like when song lyrics are about something unusual, like poem. "Elvis" is just like any other popular song: girl sees a guy, she likes him and sings about how sexy and hot he is and calls him "You're my Elvis". About that nickname Elvis. That person who wrote this is awesome and i want to give him  a high-five. Like come on, I didn't heard any girl call her boyfriend Elvis? You know, back to when our parents (and grandparents) where young, the person whose name was Elvis....oh my, you know Elvis Presley and how girls where fangirling. Just look, he sure was good looking.

Dance:  I'm not a pro at dancing, but my Sherlock eyes doesn't let any step without complete revision. As for AOA. Well dance steps looks simple (after watching few covers I can also say it looks pretty easy). I liked how dance matches with lyrics. Song reminds about fan-girling and so does dance moves looks like fan-girling. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of Miss A, so no need to hate me, but I always hope to see something awesome and what is hard, for us fans, to learn and cover. Something with more passion for dance, something full of energy. Here I only saw simple skips that really reminded me fan-girling.And ...what does this step means?
http://i.minus.com/ibsfJTGrYdi9XN.gif
Music video:  Oh, and that's where my Sherlock eyes worked full-time. Mv begins when people are walking somwhere in the city, everything reminds of 60s'. But...there is few big "but". First of all, I missed something about architecture back done, but does this street really is a bit...erm...with strange road shapes? How on earth car supposed to drive through this street? And don't tell me that it's sideway.

You know, when you are buying tickets, there is always a ticket seller that sells tickets. Right? I wonder, did back in 60s' there were no ticket sellers and people bought tickets just by talking with a white wall? Hm... There is something without any sense here. Oh I know! Pororo is a ticket seller, but it's hard to see him! Hahah! Okay, back to normal. If there was a lack of people for this mv, you should have called me. I would do the ticket sellers role for free. Geez...
And last "but". They wanted to create outside atmosphere, evening, when people hangs out...but they failed. Those buildings were so fake that i was really dissapointed. They failed to create real 60s' atmosphere. Whoever directed this mv, next time contact me. I will show you some awesome places in my country where you can film other mv's.
Oh, don't forget that annoying thing when you usually see on commercials or movies. I don't now what about you guys, but if i would fall from the sky, my hair would be a huge mess and there is no way I would land beautiful with high-heels and stand up as if I just took something that fell. I understand if angels would land with their wings. But these girls fell from the sky like comets. Is it really hard to make everything more realistic? Just like commercial, they show how beautiful with elegance people wake up, but in reallity...it's better if guy that you like wont see you.

AOA band: Thanks for five girls that hides negative sides of dancing AOA. But...in mv...why I only saw how fake instruments were played? Drummer is okay, but guitarists....especially girl who plays keyboard. I know girls arer prof at playing them, but rally, it looked so fake. Like nothing but just moving hands. What about eyes? CN Blue, FT Island. These guys time after time looks into their instruments. AOA girls were only consentrated into camera and wink wink. But drummer is okay.

Best members: And I know now who are my favorites. Drummer, girl that raps and has a bit of blue in her hair...oh screw this. I like all of the girls from AOA band. But not that with keyboard. She is okay, but I already said what dissapointed me. And I guess it's time to learn their names.

So, that's all for now. I hope you liked it and no need to hate me if you didn't liked it. Tell me your oppinion and also, you can request songs for my next review.

AOA, so what is your fan club title? Elvis? I wont mind it :)

[Handcraft] How to cover your school books more stylish.

Hey guise! My two last posts were more like dedicated to K-Pop fans. Today I decided to show you my side that is addicted to hand made stuffs.
Don't know what about you, but I'm tired when at school you get old school books and they aren't at their awesome condition. STUDENTS Y U NO PROTECT UR BOOKS?! Okay, sorry, book form anger just raised for a minute. So, back to my mission. Long time ago I saw a way how to cover your books cuter then simple plane covering. And i made a tutorial with photos. I hope this will help you.

So take your school books that you want to cover. All you will need is present paper, scissors and glues (or you can use sticky tape). I had three different present papers, so my books will be different from each other. If you have good drawing skills I suggest you to use plane paper (white or brown)so that you could draw something on your cover. So, take your book to cover, put it on your chosen paper and draw sketch:
(sorry for a bit bad quality) Don't forget, that you'll need to draw some parts that you will use to fold your cover. Now cut it and add on your book. Fold the pieces and stick it with glue. Okay, don't stick to the book cover, because later you will have to take it off. Unless this book belongs to you, not your school. Ah what ever, just don't stick to the book. So, that's all what you have to do. It's simple and it's awesome.
Of course, paper wont last for long, so you will have to change it. But, if you want long lasting one, take your plastic book cover, stick it to the paper and add it on your book. Just like that:
And boomshakalaka! You are done with you book covers. Now old crappy school books looks pretty and you can simple know which one belongs to you. Haha! Envy classmates!

If you have what to ask, don't hesitate. Thanks for reading.

See you really soon!

[K-Pop] Gangnam Style: why not everyone likes it

My last post was about Psy's worldwide trend "Gangnam style". My opinion about this song and music video was positive. So it means, only one side of thousand million opinions.
My one hardcore k-popper friend didn't liked "Gangnam style". Instead of asking "Why?", I persuaded her to write post here. Don't dare to judge her, different people, different opinions.
Enjoy reading it :)
Hi guys!
WARNING: if you're a fan of 'Gangnam style' stop reading right now. You're not gonna like this post. It is my first article for Karina's blog and it's negative. Actually, I'm willing to write many nice things here. But this time I'll express my not very popular opinion about PSY's hit.

Okay, let me clear things at first. I really like and respect PSY. Firstly, he is an awesome YG artist, who shows the same quality as Big Bang or 2NE1. He is among my favorite Korean rappers as well as Tablo, Jay Park, Drunken Tiger, Dynamic Duo. I'm completely in love with his 'The end' and 'Bird', the songs literally give me... eargasm! :D Furthermore, PSY is different from the majority of kpop artists. He belongs to the 'old generation' and let's say... isn't the 'flower boy', if you know what I mean. But that is why I respect him! He manages to be popular in the industry where looks is the most important thing and cosmetic surgery is normalized to a weird level. Chocolate abs, tons of make-up, sexy bodies and perfect faces everywhere! Fake perfection overload! And here comes PSY, happy and chilling, being just the way he is. RESPECT!
But suddenly le wild 'Gangnam style' appears...

When I watched the MV for the first time, I turned it off after a minute or so with poker face. The only one sentence in my head was 'WTF happened to PSY?!' Where is the cool rapper PSY? Those cheap beats, which remind me of American pop, was far from what I expected from PSY and YG! Songs like 'Gangnam style' usually stuck in our heads for hours, days, sometimes weeks. We get sick and tired of them so easily! Truthfully, the beat, which was supposed to make my body groove, was annoying and pitiful. Yes, it's a great example of what I call CHEAP MUSIC,

You may have many arguments now. 'Isn't other kpop songs cheap?' Yes, some of them are. 'But PSY is cool, he is so free to do what he likes and wants' Yes, he is cool. 'Gangnam style' is more like fan service, not freedom. Watch any other PSY's performance and you'll notice how he enjoys his hiphop music! It's funny how people who used to say I was weird for liking kpop, now share and like 'Gangnam style'. Come on, it's the same kpop! I still like a bunch of Korean songs and artists and have the right to dislike something. Just I feel sorry that really great music isn't as popular as the weirdest stuff ever. Okay, I think PSY reached Nicki Minaj's level, and I am very disappointed! Many people, who don't even know where South Korea is, try to prove me how great 'Gangnam style' is. Yes, sure, of course they are bigger fans of kpop than me and they understand much more.

One of my Lithuanian friends sent me a link to 'Gangnam style'. I asked him if he knew what Gangnam was and he said 'Pshh, obviously gangster!' FACEPALM!
I know, right? Or the boy who heard 'Open condom style' was so funny... yeah, funny... (dull) ! I don't know about you guys, but for me lyrics are very important and mean a lot. 'Gangnam style' was originally written in order to promote Seoul and South Korea during the 2012 London Olympics. So, please explain me why, the hell, song talks about a girl? And actually talks rubbish, which don't even make sense. Like 'A classy girl who knows how to enjoy the freedom of a cup of coffee'. WTF is that? 2PM's 'Fly to Seoul' promotes Seoul as well and makes it WAY better! At least, their lyrics make more sense than PSY's.

Okay, let's say the song is about picking up a hot girl. But still... how that weird horse riding dance is supposed to be attractive to any girl?! If I saw someone doing those 'cool' moves in front of me, I'd get back... slowly... slowly... and then RUN!~ Seriously, I don't find the dance cool. Kpop artists are known to be super awesome dancers. We all know the abilities of Infinite, Beast, 2PM, Big Bang (let's forget about TOP lol). So why is this dance more popular than their dances? Seems like easy and silly stuff is more attractive than professional and difficult dance moves which show off the artists' abilities. Okay... Keep thinking that way. And don't forget to dance the 'cool' horse riding dance when you want to pick up a hot girl. In addition, try 'rolling your sexy window' or 'zoom zoom healt like a locket'. This stuff works out nicely.

So, when 'Gangnam style' reached 100'000'000 views on Youtube I decided to watch it again. I only saw a bunch of weird scenes, weird costumes, weird people and weird dance moves, basically WEIRDNESS overload! Is that the way Gangnam is? Rubbish, which turn into snow, fall on people's heads, suspicious people all around, randoms explosions. And yeah... I am really looking forward to going to a sauna in Gangnam. Heyyyy, SEXY BELLY!~ No, it wasn't a cool scene. The bus scene was also awkward. Those pink curtains and shiny disco balls look so great together... on the bus. Hell yeah! YUK!~ Next - booty scenes. Oh, guys probably loved them. But I'm a girl! Show me some sexy male bodies instead of middle aged uncles with those scary tummies. :D Too much weirdness in one place. And again, I want to compare it with 2PM's 'Fly to Seoul' video. They tried to show the cool side of Seoul and they did it! Someone may say it's lame. But this time PSY's fan service is lame. As I can see, the more nonsense, the more people like it.

I was thinking, why 'Gangnam style' gained this unprecedented popularity. A catchy song? Kpop has tons of them! Funny MV? Sure, so funny that while watching my face had less facial expressions than a brick. Maybe it depends on the person's intelligence and maturity level. The only one explanation which seems to be legit is: people like different, fun and vivacious things. That's great! But I prefer long-lasting arts, which won't get annoying after a month or two. Seems like Roman metaphor BREAD AND CIRCUSES is still alive today.

Thank you for reading. You have all rights to comment, criticize, agree or disagree with me. But don't hate on me. Even if you do, I think 'antis' are also fans. haha

Good luck and see you all next time!

HoneyG.

[K-Pop] Gangnam style worldwide: This doesn't make sense

On July 15th famous Korean artist PSY released his MV for "Gangnam style". Catchy song and never before seen choreography soon became popular within k-pop fans all over the world. I have to admit, I also became addicted to this song, not to mention that horse riding dance move.
This song is not usual k-pop song.It has something that soon after listening (or even if you listen for thousand of times) it drags you in and all day you will be singing "Oppa Gangnam style ... Hey~ sexy lady". Again, not to mention that automatically you'll be doing this cowboy dance.
I love the fact, that in this music video you can see some familiar faces to every k-pop fan. This video futures Yoo Jae Suk (known as Nation MC, one of the main Running Man and my favorite) that is in dance duel with Psy, Noh Hong Cheol (comedian) dancing in an elevator, Hyuna (4minute member) playing Psy's love interest (and she also released her version "Oppa is my style" but about her later) and of course a young talented dancer Hwang Min Woo (he got famous on "Star King") who show's how awesome he can be.
For me, it took some to to realize what is this song about. If I'm not mistaken, "Gangnam style" is about perfect girlfriend. Correct me if I'm wrong. As for today, Psy's song gained 100 million views on YouTube and became most viewed k-pop video. Congratulations Psy!

On August 14th was released female version of "Gangnam style" with another title "Oppa is just my style". Hyuna, who is member of 4minute, is the main vocal. But this one didn't get such big attention and gained only 25 million views on YouTube. What is more, Hyuna's vocal was a bit judged by viewers, since it sounded like...urm...let's say like Pikachu. I agree with it. No need to hate me, since others loved this version. 4minute is famous k-pop girl group,so it makes sense.
I wasn't satisfied with mv because I saw only boring backgrounds for dancing and nothing catchy, so I didn't get this 'Must see it again' moment. Previous video showed real life backgrounds from famous Gangnam area spots. On the other hand, Psy showed some more awesome dance moves. It's great that he also sang half of the song and was on the video.
One more minus, only difference in this song, is that 'Oppa Gangnam style' was changed to 'Oppa is just my style'. Nothing else. Lyrics were left the same. Maybe it's better like that.
Now, it's time to explain my title for this post. So Psy's "Gangnam style" gained attention even from famous American artists and currently he is in USA, and if news are right, he signed contract with Justin Bieber's company (some of k-poppers, and me, are scared that these to can colaborate. Yes, we are not fans of Bieber, so you understand). As I said, attention from famous people (like Britney Spears, T-Pain, Robbie Williams, Nelly Furtado and some more) = attention from their fans. Now "Gangnam style" is famous worldwide, interne is full of parodies and covers.

What I wanted to say. In my older post, I said that in my country there are no k-pop fans, and if someone know about k-pop, they are more like haters (read my post "Being K-Pop fan in not well-known country"). Today I found out that my few friends already know this song and started to love it. The same people that never understood why I love Korea, and Korean music for them was a big nonsense. So it appears, they love Gangnam Style, but they hate K-Pop. This doesn't make sense, guise! Like c'mon, Gangnam style = k-pop, k-pop = Gangnam style. So many people around the world, that claimed that Korean music is something not cool, now can't stop listening and dancing to "Gangnam Style"? I don't really get it. I wont be so mad about this fact, if people wouldn't publish their hate for k-pop. Okay, I hate Justin Bieber, I hate One Direction, but I don't say it every day to their fans and suddenly don't fall in love with their songs! Guise, come on! make a decision, now!
Well, perhaps Psy changed haters opinion about k-pop. I understandthis, but what really makes me mad I already said. Right now, I just can't help, but do this everytime I see my friends post "Gangnam Style" and write how awesome it is:

So, it was my first post where I talk about songs and music videos that caught my attention. In future, there will be some more. And not only Korean songs, English, Italian or any other language are included.
I hope you liked it.
It would be awesome if you leave your comments and tell me your opinions.

Thank you for visiting!

Sorry if I am different

Third post and you can smell here some emotional nonsenses. But I can't help, I have to write something. The longer I will abandon this blog, harder it'll be to start writing again.
Back to what I wanted to say. I'm not an outgoing person, I don't have thousands of friends. Most of y time I spend at home and I don't get bored, because I have what to do. I have only few friends, but I trust them all and I know that they are real friends. They all are my classmates and sometimes after school we hang out somewhere at city center. Nowadays others our age kids gets drunk, use drugs, smoke. Sorry for not being "normal" teenagers, since we drink milkshakes and get crazy from candies. Sorry if we don't know any older guys who drive "cool" cars, buys us alcohol and we call them "our rooftop". Instead of that, we get well with little kids, they suggest us which candies are awesome and teach us how to play newest games.
That's my reality. But appears that my relatives don' like real me. They always complains that I spend my time alone, not every day outside and so on. I already said that I have few friends that are exactly (not really exactly when it comes to hobbies and likes) like me, but try to explain this to my parents. Yeah... so I guess you imagine how crappy my life is where I live. That's why I can't wait to move to another country.
And BOOM! Here comes my older relatives. Influenced by my parents, granny also sees me like a loner teenage girl, that probably is not full minded because of technologies. She asked me "Why don't you like our country? Why can't you be like your cousin and stay here, create family, get a job?". Yes, the same granny, that never miss news, complains about our countries politic system, how hard is it for young people to find a job here, create a normal life, how kids nowadays use drugs, drink alcohol, steals and she does understand why people emigrates. This doesn't make sense, right? Well sorry granny if I'm not patriotic person. But the reason you already told.
Today my friend asked me if I'm religious person, since I always wear this silver necklace with small cross and wooden bracelet with religious pictures (you know those bracelets with God, angels and other saint stuff). What is more, few days ago I bought another necklace with one wooden and one steel cross. Truth is, I'm not religious. My whole family re Christians, I grew up as Christians but I don't believe. I have those stuffs as accesories. So I don't get it why my parents are scared, when I chat with foreigners, and why they think that I could be dragged into super religious group. Again, sorry if I'm not the type of person you want me to be. I'm different and it's normal. For me, normal people are weird. Problem?
Whit this post (that reminds diary, sorry) I let you know about my life. With a cup of cacao, waiting for "Courage the cowardly dog" to load and listening to Korean indie (while my younger sister drinks coffee, watches "Sex and City" and answers thousands of sms and pm on facebook) I finish this off topic post.

Have a good day pals!

Being a kpop fan in not well-known country

Today I decided to do a bit off topic post. Well...not off topic, since it's related to music. Okay, never mind.
It seems that kpop is getting more popular overseas. And yes, I'm also interested about it. I listen to Korean music. And I don't see any problem...but there is a problem. My country is in the middle of Europe where Asian culture doesn't mean anything. People here are like more interested about American culture, music and etc. Korean or any other Asian language here are like bird language. No one understands, no one cares and if you like kpop, then what the hell? Are you stupid? From which planet you came?
Yes. That's true. I don't say that you'll get bullied or something, but your friends just wont understand your addiction to kpop, kdramas and dreaming about famous Korean idol.
When I started to show my interests for Korea, my classmates don't understand me anymore. Even I lost my one good friend. She wrote me a message, that liking Asian stuff isn't right for European person. Obviously, she prefers American culture and claims that this is the best. I wrote her back, that it's my life and it has nothing to do with her. From that day we don't talk anymore. What really made me mad, is that I never showed my addiction in public (in front of classmates, family or friends). She just made her opinion from internet (yes, like facebook and twitter where I posted some kpop songs). Like okay, if you don't like what you see, then scroll page down.
Another bad point of being kpop fan in small Europe country where everyone is addicted to Russian and American pop is that you wont find any people to share interests with. I only know very few...erm...actually only one person that also likes kpop and since we share our interests and agree with each other, we became close, good friends. Okay, more like sisters. yeah, G_Pororo I'm talking about you. Oh...I forgot one not so cool thing...We are from the same country, just from different cities (but distance here isn't so far...just one hour...who cares) BUT we haven't met each other yet. Well, currently she lives in other country. So thanks to the internet, we keep in touch everyday. Yes, all day all night...Urm...I think not night, since we have to sleep.
Anyway, the biggest problem is...your bias probably don't know about your country and about kpop concerts you can just dream. Also, no kpop or kdrama related shops and even no stuff to buy. No posters, no CDs, no souvenirs. Nothing. If you really want something, then you should meet ebay. Thanks to ebay, I got some stuff I really wanted.

So now you see. Being a kpop fan in my country isn't a good thing. But I got used to it.
That's all for now. Hope you liked this post. Please leave your comments below if you also want to share your life with kpop.

Thank You for reading and have a Good Day
